Sweet Potato Protein Waffles

Start Valentine’s Day off with sweet, protein-packed breakfast.  These sweet potato protein waffles use my secret waffle ingredient: tofu! Tofu create a fluffy waffle center and amps up the protein. Perfect for a sweet breakfast on a sweet day. Get the recipe here.

 

 

Pomegranate Oatmeal

Another breakfast favorite that is bursting with the typical Valentine’s Day red color.  Pomegranate Oatmeal is rich in potassium and antioxidants.  Great for a post-run refuel and a tart morning breakfast.  Get the recipe here. 




 

Cherry-Beet Smoothie

Another purple-hued breakfast recipe for Valentine’s Day is a cherry beet smoothie.  Tart cherries are an anti-inflammatory and beets are rich in nitrates.  Both have been shown to improve athlete’s performance.  Get the recipe here.

Is there any better combination than dark chocolate and peanut butter?
